ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT

Spirit North is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our non-profit organization as an Associate Director of Government Relations and Development.

This role is pivotal in securing funding and cultivating relationships with donors and government representatives to ensure the sustainability and growth of our organization's mission. The ideal candidate will be a relationship builder, skilled writer, communicator, strategic thinker, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for advancing social impact initiatives.

The role is remote, based in Toronto or Ottawa, Ontario.

Director of Human Resources

This hybrid position requires a highly skilled HR professional who will balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution, ensuring HR policies are aligned with Spirit North’s mission of youth empowerment. The Director of HR will oversee all day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on community engagement, workforce management, and talent development in the charitable sector. Working with the senior leadership team, you will be a key part in the future of Spirit North while fostering a productive and culturally respectful work environment.

COMMUNITY
PROGRAM LEADER

Central and Northern Manitoba

Spirit North is seeking an outstanding candidate to provide leadership and assume responsibility for coordinating and delivering land-based sport and activity programs to Indigenous children and youth living in Manitoba.

Reporting to the Provincial Coordinator, the Community Program Leader (CPL) is responsible for the direct coordination, implementation and delivery of Spirit North’s sport and land-based activity programs to Indigenous children and youth in the communities within a designated region.

Priority will be given to Indigenous applicants. Lived experience is an asset for the role and will be considered before academic qualifications. All applicants will be considered regardless of academic background. 

This job requires travel, a Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector, and Standard First Aid.

COMMUNITY PROGRAM LEADER

Thunder Bay, Ontario

Spirit North is seeking an outstanding candidate to provide leadership and assume responsibility for coordinating and delivering land-based sport and activity programs to Indigenous children and youth living in the Thunder Bay Area.

Reporting to the Provincial Coordinator, the Community Program Leader (CPL) is responsible for the direct coordination, implementation and delivery of Spirit North’s sport and land-based activity programs to Indigenous children and youth in the communities within a designated region.

This job requires travel, a Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector, and Standard First Aid.

ASSISTANT
PROGRAM LEADER

Vernon, British Columbia

Spirit North is seeking an outstanding candidate to assist in coordinating, implementing, and delivering land-based wellness programs to Indigenous youth living in and around the Southern BC locations of Vernon, including Okanagan Indian Band, Splatsin, Westbank and Enderby.  

Reporting to the Regional Coordinator, the Assistant Program Leader (APL) is responsible for assisting the Community Program Leader (CPL) with the coordination, implementation and delivery of Spirit North’s sport and land-based activity programs to Indigenous children and youth in the communities within a designated region.  

Priority will be given to Indigenous applicants. Lived experience is an asset for the role and will be considered before academic qualifications. All applicants will be considered regardless of academic background.
